Don Scanlon CRB, GRI, CBR
Don graduated from The University of Dayton in 1969 with a degree in education, and started in the Real Estate business in 1984 as a part time agent while still teaching school.
By 1986 he received his Brokers License and became the manager of an office, and in 1987 he became the owner Broker of Your Home Realty/Century 21 Your Home in Wantagh, which then merged with Century 21 American Homes, where Don remains one of the Owner/Brokers.
He has served as an MLS Director from 1997 to 1999, 2002-2003, MLS Treasurer in 2004, and Vice President for Nassau in 2005 and 2006, and as MLS President in 2007. He has served as a LIBOR director since 2003, and is on many of LIBOR's committees. Currently, he is the 2009 LIBOR Nassau County Vice President.
He is also a NYSAR director since 2004, Vice Chairperson for the State Associations Professional Standards Committee in 2007, and Chairperson in 2008.
Don is a New York State Certified Instructor for Real Estate Licensing, and Continuing Education. In his free time, Don is an avid boater and enjoys the waters surrounding Long Island.
